Company Details
Everything about a single organisation in one place - company info, linked contacts, linked projects, related companies, custom fields, activity timeline, and CRM tasks.
The Company Details page is the single-source view for one company in your CRM. It pulls together company information, linked contacts, linked projects, related companies, custom fields, and a complete history of activities and tasks tied to the organisation. From here you can log an activity, add a CRM task, create or link a contact, edit any field, manage company-to-company relationships, and change the company's status - all without leaving the page.
PrimeCRM is a Pro feature
The Company Details page requires a Pro license with CRM enabled. See License Settings.
Statuses can drive a kanban Pipeline Board
changing a company's status from this page moves the linked CRM task on every kanban Pipeline Board that listens to it. To see which statuses are wired to a board, look for the indicator next to a status in the inline status picker on the Companies list, or in the company-status filter dropdowns.

Things worth knowing
Company information
The page shows the company's core details: industry, email, phone, website, and address. Email and phone are clickable - email opens your mail client, phone starts a call. The website is also a clickable link. All edits go through the editing form (click Edit in the header).
Custom web links
Beyond the single Website field, you can attach unlimited free-form labelled web links to a company - careers page, blog, support portal, partner directory, scheduling page, or any other site worth keeping with the record.
Open the company in Edit mode, scroll to Web Links, click Add link, give it a label and the URL. Add as many as you like; remove any you don't need. Save when done. Each link appears in its own clickable row on the company details page, opening in your system browser.
Website vs Web Links
Use the dedicated Website field for the company's primary public-facing site (it's also where AI agents and search look first). Use Web Links for everything else - secondary sites, internal portals, scheduling pages, social platforms PrimeTask doesn't have a dedicated field for.
Header actions
Two actions are available at the top of every company's page:
- Edit - opens the editing form for the company's details, logo, and linked contacts.
- Delete - removes the company after confirmation.
Activity logging and task creation are available inside their respective sections lower on the page, where they're pre-linked to the company automatically.
Linked contacts
The Linked Contacts section shows every person associated with this company. Each contact is clickable - click to jump to their Contact Details page.
Two options for adding contacts to the company:
- Create Contact - opens the contact creation form pre-filled with this company as their default employer. Use this when the person isn't in your CRM yet.
- Link Contact - opens a picker that lets you search and select an existing contact to attach. Use this when the person already exists.
You can unlink a contact from this company if they're no longer associated. Unlinking removes the connection from both sides - the company's linked contacts and the contact's linked companies.
Linked projects
The Linked Projects section shows every project this company is connected to. You can add or remove project links from here.
Project linking is disabled in Isolated CRM
When viewing this company inside a project's Isolated CRM, you can't link it to other projects - isolated companies live exclusively inside their project. See Shared vs Isolated CRM.
Related companies
The Related Companies section is unique to company pages (contacts don't have an equivalent). It lets you track relationships between companies - for example:
- A company tagged as a competitor to this one
- A partner you collaborate with on joint projects
- A supplier or customer in a supply chain
- A subsidiary or parent in a corporate hierarchy
- A company in the same industry for market awareness
Each related company is clickable - click to navigate to their detail page. You can add and remove relationships directly from this section.
Why related companies matter
Tagging a company as a competitor, supplier, or subsidiary gives you context when you re-open the page months later. It also lets you build company hierarchies without separate fields, and helps teammates understand how your accounts relate to each other.
Custom fields
Every custom field scoped to Companies appears in a dedicated section on this page. Fields with values are shown directly; empty fields are summarised by count. Click any field to edit it - changes save automatically.
For the full custom fields experience on CRM entities, see CRM & Custom Fields.
Activity timeline
The activity timeline shows every interaction logged against this company - calls, emails, meetings, notes, demos, proposals, and LinkedIn touchpoints - in reverse chronological order.
Each activity is clickable for viewing or editing. You can filter the timeline by activity type, outcome, date range, linked contacts, linked companies, and free-text search. A Log Activity button lets you add a new entry pre-linked to this company, and a See All link takes you to the full Activities page.
CRM tasks
The Tasks section shows every CRM task linked to this company - pending and completed. You can:
- Change a task's status or priority inline without opening the task
- See overdue tasks, recurring tasks, checklist progress, subtask progress, tags, assignees, and due dates at a glance
- Right-click any task for quick actions: open, edit, copy a
primetask://deep link, edit notes, mark done, duplicate, or delete - Press ⌘+N (or Ctrl+N on Windows) to create a new CRM task pre-linked to this company
The section has its own filters (search, status, priority, completion state) and pagination. An Add Task button and a See All link are at the top.
The tasks section also updates live - if a task is created or changed elsewhere in PrimeTask (from another view or via an AI agent), the list refreshes automatically.
Deleting a company
Clicking Delete in the header opens a confirmation step.
Deleting a company has cascading effects
When you delete a company, every contact created exclusively for it and every activity logged against it are also deleted. CRM tasks linked to the company are kept but lose the company link. This is a permanent, irreversible action - back up first from Data Management if you're unsure.
Isolated CRM mode
When you open a company from a project's Isolated CRM view, the page scopes to that project:
- The company's data, contacts, activities, and tasks are loaded from the project's private CRM storage
- If auto-sync is enabled, linked shared data is merged in (without duplicates)
- New activities default to the project scope
- Navigation from this page stays inside the project's isolated context
- The Manage control for Linked Projects is disabled
For the full explanation, see Shared vs Isolated CRM.
Common questions
"How do I edit a company's address or website?"
Click Edit in the header to open the editing form. All company fields (name, industry, size, status, email, phone, website, address, notes, logo, linked contacts) are editable from the form.
"I want to link an existing contact to this company."
Click Link Contact in the Linked Contacts section, search for the contact, and select them. The link is bidirectional - the company appears on the contact's Linked Companies and the contact appears here.
"I want to track that this company is a subsidiary of another."
Open the Related Companies section and add the parent company with the subsidiary or parent relationship type. The related company becomes clickable so you can navigate between the two.
"Can I change a task's status without opening it?"
Yes. Every task in the Tasks section has inline status and priority controls - change either directly from the company page.
"I deleted a company and its contacts were deleted too. Is that supposed to happen?"
Only contacts that were created exclusively for that company are deleted (they were never linked to anything else). Contacts that exist independently in your shared CRM keep their records - they just lose the company link. This cascading deletion is intentional to prevent orphaned data, but it's why backing up before a company deletion is recommended.
"Can I copy a deep link to this company for use in another app?"
From the company's page, right-click any task and choose Copy Link for a task-level link. For a link to the company itself, use the right-click context menu from the Companies page. See External Integrations Settings.
"Where do I add custom company statuses beyond the defaults?"
Open Settings → PrimeCRM Settings → Per-Space Settings → Company Statuses. See CRM Settings.
