Time Report
A space-wide timesheet of all the time tracked across your Space, with a per-task breakdown, a trend chart with adjustable date range, and CSV or PDF export.
The Time report is a single place to see where your hours went across a whole Space. It gathers every kind of tracked time, your start and stop timer sessions, your focus sessions, and any time you assign from the Time Inbox, and rolls it all into one read-only timesheet you can review, filter, and export.
It lives on the Time tab of the Reports page and is part of PrimeTime, so you turn it on per Space. See PrimeTime for capturing time automatically and assigning it, and Reports Overview for the rest of the Reports page.
Requires Pro
The Time report is part of the Pro tier, as part of PrimeTime. To use it, upgrade from License Settings.

How to open the Time report
- Sidebar: open Reports, then choose the Time tab.
- Command palette: ⌘+K (or Ctrl+K), then search Reports and choose the Time tab.
The Time tab shows once PrimeTime is turned on for the Space you are in. Turn it on from Settings → PrimeTime. See PrimeTime.
It is per Space
Like the rest of Reports, the Time report covers the Space you are in, and PrimeTime is enabled per Space. Switch Spaces to see that Space's timesheet.
What the Time report shows
- Your totals. A quick summary of total tracked time, the share that came from the timer, your focus time, and the number of tasks with time logged. Click any of them to dig into the detail.
- A trend chart with an adjustable range. A chart of how much time you tracked each day, with a range picker for one week, two weeks, one month, two months, or three months. Click a day to see what made it up. This trend always covers your chosen range, whatever time range you have set elsewhere.
- Time by task. A breakdown of how much time each task took, combining timer and focus time. Use the search box to find a specific task when the list is long.
Everything in one timesheet
The Time report combines time from the per-task timer, your focus sessions, and the captured time you assign from the Time Inbox. Anything tracked on a task in the Space shows up here.
Capture and assign time here too
When PrimeTime is capturing time for you, the Time tab is also where you manage it. A prompt invites you to review and assign your captured time in the Time Inbox, and a set of quick controls lets you save the current session, pause, or turn capture off. From the Time Inbox you can also spin captured time into a brand-new task instead of an existing one, either from a single block, from a group of blocks you have selected in the bulk bar, or by adding a task inline from the Assign picker (with status and priority set right there) so it stays selected for you to confirm. All of this is covered in PrimeTime.
Filter and export
The Time report respects the filter controls at the top of the Reports page, so you can narrow it to a time range or to certain kinds of work. Use the Export action at the top of the page to save the current view as a CSV or PDF, named for the section and the date. The PDF has clean headings, tables, and page numbers, and picks up your date and time settings from Settings. For everything the filters and export can do, see Reports Filters and Export.
Pair it with Project Metrics
The Time report is your space-wide view. For the time spent on a single project, with its own rollups across timer sessions, focus, subtasks, and CRM work, open that project's Metrics tab. See Project Metrics.
Things worth knowing
It is read-only
The Time report is for reviewing, not editing. To change a task's time, open the task itself. See Task Time Tracking.
Turning PrimeTime off keeps your data
If you turn PrimeTime off for a Space, the Time tab no longer appears for that Space. None of your tracked time is deleted, and turning it back on brings the timesheet right back.
Reports is per Space
Each Space has its own Time report. Switch Spaces to see that Space's numbers, and remember PrimeTime is enabled per Space too.
Common questions
"Why don't I see the Time tab?"
The Time tab shows once PrimeTime is turned on for the active Space, and PrimeTime is part of the Pro tier. Turn it on from Settings → PrimeTime, and see License Settings to upgrade.
"What time does the timesheet include?"
Timer sessions, focus sessions, and any captured time you have assigned from the Time Inbox, for every task in the Space.
"Can I export it?"
Yes. Use the Export action at the top of the Reports page to save the current view as a CSV or PDF. See Reports Filters and Export.
"How is this different from Project Metrics?"
The Time report is space-wide, across all your tasks and projects. Project Metrics is the deep time view for a single project. Use them together. See Project Metrics.
